Spreading The Gospel At Mardi Gras

The Barnabas Camp
Trip Dates: Feb 13th - Feb 17th, 2026

Spreading the Gospel at Mardi Gras Since 1974

Every year during Mardi Gras, we take to the streets of New Orleans to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. With hearts on fire for the Gospel, we proclaim that Jesus is Lord and Savior, offering hope in a place that desperately needs it.

Our Mission

We mentor and encourage men to become bold witnesses of Jesus Christ by equipping believers who want to share their faith but don’t know how.

What We Do

Carrying the Cross – We boldly walk down Bourbon Street with a large wooden cross, a powerful symbol of Christ’s sacrifice and love.

Passing Out Tracts – These printed messages contain the truth of God’s Word, sparking conversations and planting seeds of faith.

One-on-One Evangelism – We engage in personal conversations, listening, sharing, and guiding people toward Christ.

Street Preaching – We lift our voices to declare the Gospel publicly, reaching those who may never step into a church.

Prayer & Worship – We gather in small and in large groups to pray for the city, for those we encounter, and for each other.

Clowning – We dress up as clowns and perform skits and plays for children and families. While we engage with the kids, their parents listen and watch, hearing the message of repentance and the call to trust Jesus Christ with their eternal salvation.

Building Community – This trip isn’t just about outreach, it’s about growing in faith, forming lifelong friendships, and experiencing the joy of serving together.
